Overview

NSPA Speed & Agility Certification is considered by one of the top speed & agility programs in the country. Coach Philbin blends his 35 years training elite athletes with current research & development. The program is entirely hands-on and will discuss scientific reasoning behind all proven applications and techniques. The course will also discuss current misconceptions and traditional myths associated with speed development. Every component of speed & agility enhancement will be presented:

  • Injury prevention & appropriate drills
  • Safe & effective progressions with speed devices
  • Mobility assessment & appropriate physical test
  • Youth applications & concerns
  • Current speed devices pros & cons
  • Sports specific training programs
  • Mechanical breakdown of technique through slow-motion video analysis
  • Building strength appropriately to reach physical potential

In order to pass the Speed & Agility certification, the student must be able to demonstrate all drills.
